Bringing the future of health and longevity into focus, the 1st Greater Bay Area Health and Longevity Summit & Awards Ceremony is set to foster high-level dialogue, collaboration and innovation across the Greater Bay Area. The event is jointly organised by Hong Kong Ta Kung Wen Wei Media Group (MACAO) and iRad Hospital, with Melco Resorts & Entertainment as Strategic Sponsor.
Supported by the Health Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, the Pharmaceutical Administration Bureau, the Economic and Technological Development Bureau, and the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute, the Summit will take place at Studio City in Macao on 5 November 2026. It will bring together government officials, media, heads of medical institutions, industry experts and business representatives, alongside representatives from the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR and industry representatives from across the Greater Bay Area. Against the backdrop of the Greater Bay Area’s “9+2” development framework, participants will explore the innovative integration and development of “Tourism + Healthcare”, foster greater consensus on the development of the region’s Big Health industry, and unlock new opportunities for cross‑border healthcare collaboration.
The opening ceremony will commence at 14:00, with remarks by distinguished guests including Mr. Zheng Yong Nan, Vice Chairman and General Manager of Hong Kong Ta Kung Wen Wei Media Group; Mr. Dennis Tam, Honorary Chairman of iRad; Mr. Lawrence Ho, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Melco Resorts & Entertainment; and Mr. Lo Iek Long, Director of the Health Bureau of the Macao SAR Government. Macao government officials will also take part in the official launch, marking the opening of the Summit.
Powered by Longevity+, the Summit brings together 25 leading speakers across 10 regions. The keynote sessions feature an exceptional roster of global leaders across science, longevity, and gastronomy: Professor Dean Felsher of Stanford University will delve into "One Gene. Cancer. Aging. One Switch"; Bryan Johnson and Kate Tolo of Immortal and Blueprint will share their vision in "Don't Die: One Man's War on Aging"; and René Redzepi alongside Peter Kreiner of Noma, the iconic three-Michelin-starred culinary innovation lab, will discuss "The Future of Longevity is Delicious".
A series of high‑level fireside chat sessions will cover cutting-edge topics across healthcare and innovation, featuring dedicated sessions on "Wellness & Longevity: From Vitality to Science", "The Convergence of Quantum Computing and Biochemistry in Drug Development", "Imaging, Omics & AI", "Data Trust: Privacy and the Future of Health Data" and "Heritage & Innovation: New Pathways for High-Quality TCM Development in the GBA".
The Summit will conclude with a networking dinner and awards ceremony in the evening, recognising organisations and individuals for their outstanding contributions to the Big Health industry, medical innovation and the integration of healthcare and tourism. The occasion will also provide a platform for industry collaboration, connections and exchange.
The co-organisers highlight Macao’s unique geographical location and strengths as a platform, which position the city as a key hub for the development of medical tourism and the Big Health industry in the Greater Bay Area. The Summit aims to strengthen connections across the industry and innovation chains of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, facilitate the flow of technology, capital and talent, and inject new impetus into the high‑quality development of the region’s Big Health industry. As Strategic Sponsor, Melco Resorts & Entertainment also hopes that its support for this high-level Summit will help bring together expertise from across the industry, deepen industry exchange and collaboration, and jointly explore new opportunities in the Big Health sector, contributing to Macao’s “1+4” strategy for appropriate economic diversification.
